Free business advice will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday at the Obion County Chamber of Commerce.
Small business specialist Denny Sumner with the University of Tennessee at Martin Regional Entrepreneur and Economic Development Center and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center will be available to help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners.
The local chamber is located at 214 East Church St. in Union City.
Sumner recently joined the TSBDC after working more than 30 years in the banking industry as a commercial loan officer. He has taught several college classes in finance and economics and is currently teaching microeconomics at UTM.
Sumner’s educational background includes a masters in business administration and two bachelor of science degrees. He will be giving advice about business planning, financing options, marketing, customer service, cash flow and other topics. The consultations are one-on-one, confidential and free.
