Barbara Tucker

Mrs. Barbara Jane Lyon Tucker, 78, of Sharon, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Martin with Rev. Mike Sams and Mearl Martin III. Burial was in East Side Cemetery in Martin.

Mearl Martin III, Eddy White, Kyle White, Daniel Jones, Don Jock and James Wall served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Tucker was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of the James Franklin and Katy Caroline Linbaugh Lyon. She was the widow of James Tucker. She was a beautician/Cosmetologist where she worked with her daughter at California Connection. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her dear friends and companion, Daniel Smith of Sharon; one son, Mearl (Terry) Martin, III of Santa Anna, Calif.; one daughter, Bobbi (Eddy) White of Martin; one sister, Marqueta McQuown of Apply Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren, Tawnya (Daniel) Jones and April Jean Martin; and two great-grandchildren, Kyle White and Katelyn Jones.
