| Briefly Eagle boys third in Medina tourney The Black Oak boys won third place in the inaugural Blue Suede Invitational Tournament at Medina Middle School. BO split a pair of games in the event, beating USJ 62-37 Saturday after dropping a close 26-25 decision to Bargerton on Friday. Brandon Swift and Isaac Darnall were both named to the all-tournament team. The two combined for 14 points in Friday’s game before Swift recorded 15 points and seven rebounds and Darnall tallied 17 markers and came up with five steals vs. USJ Saturday. Blake Jones contributed 11 points, six assists and five steals to the consolation game triumph. The Lady Eagles dropped a pair of close games in the tourney, losing 41-37 to Westover and 27-20 to Pin Oak.
