Greetings to all from Pleasant Hill.

We had a great Sunday school lesson with Greg Hahn teaching our class.

Our worship service started with Vickie, Angela, Bro. Elwood, Bro. Steve and Bro. Mac bringing us a good music service. For our special music, Vickie and Mary Elizabeth Higgs sang a duet titled, “In Christ Alone.” Great job girls.

Bro. Mac brought his message from Proverbs 24: 11-12. His message was about human life and when a baby becomes a human.

Billy Cavin was still missed in Sunday school and worship. He is in Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin at this writing. We wish him a very speedy recovery.

Tommy Carr is out of the hospital and was able to be with us in church.

Gary Mansfield was notified this past week that his aunt, Margaret Mansfield, had fallen and busted her kneecap. Please keep her in your prayers. She is the wife of Richard Mansfield.

My little great-grandson has been sort of under the weather this weekend. I took him to the doctor Monday and he is having some breathing problems and other things that go along with bronchitis. This warm and cold weather that we are having is enough to make anyone sick.

Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday so that means our evening service will be bumped up to a 4 p.m. so our church family can have fellowship with their individual classes and watch the Super Bowl together. Be sure and check your bulletin Sunday to see when and where your class will be getting together.

Bro. Steve’s youth Super Bowl party is Feb. 3 at his home.

The Youth Evangelistic Conference is March 1-2. The cost is $25 and anyone wanting to go please see Bro. Steve.

Our children’s spring musical started Sunday evening.

We had no birthdays for this week, but I would like to wish our former pastor, Bro. David Freeman, a very happy birthday on Feb. 1. He pastors Lebanon First Baptist Church at the present time.

Until next week, may God bless.
