Wilkey “Mack” Jones

Wilkey “Mack” Jones Jr., 53, of Martin, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at his residence.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. John Burroughs, Bro. Wilkey Jones and Bro. Eddie Mallonee. Burial will be Macks Grove Cemetery, Dresden.

Phillip Jones, Charles Jones, Brandon Clark, Brian Duncan, Trey Cane and Roy McDonald will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Clark, Don Jones, Nathan Judd, David Lott, Keith Arnold and Matthew Sorrell.

Jones was born May 11, 1959 in Memphis to Wilkey Macklin Jones Sr. of Decaturville and the late Katie Sue McKee Jones. He was a vet assistant for Tri-County Animal Clinic and a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janie Crews Jones of Martin; two daughters, Brittany Leann King of Gleason and Casey Jean (Ryan) Smith of Springville; two sons, Wilkey (Tish) Jones III of Martin and Jamison (Samantha) Pounds of North Carolina; his step mother, Margie Jones of Decaturville; three sisters, Sharon (Nathan Judd) Jones of Dickson, Esther (Don) Jones of Maryville and Diana (Jay) Clark of Dresden; one brother, Phillip (Marion) Jones of Onalaska, Wis.; and nine grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one grandchild.
