Spelling bee set

The West Tennessee Home Educators Association is sponsoring a spelling bee for homeschoolers. This is a preliminary contest for the Scripps’ National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. 
Students in eighth grade and below are eligible to participate. The bee will be held Saturday in Brownsville. 
Sign-up for the contest will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the bee starting at 2. For more information, rules and spelling lists, log on to www.wthea.org.
 Interested participants can RSVP through the website or by phone at  (731) 784-8117. The deadline to register is Thursday.
