Obion County Office on Aging to hold meeting Feb. 12 Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 8:00 pm The Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability, in partnership with the Northwest Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability, will be hosting an Open Meeting Feb. 12, to discuss the needs of older Tennesseans and adults with disabilities in Northwest Tennessee. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Obion County Office on Aging. The issues and concerns that affect Tennessee seniors and adults with disabilities and their families are great and vary by region of the State. In an effort to better understand the needs of Tennessee’s aging population, the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability is conducting a statewide listening tour in the form of town hall meetings across the state; these town hall meetings will give stakeholders and interested parties the opportunity to share their issues, needs and concerns with state officials. The Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability invites all stakeholders and consumers to participate in this open discussion and voice the unmet needs and concerns in the towns and communities across Northwest Tennessee.
