Completed arrangements are being announcd for Michael Joe Morton, 51, of Murray, Ky., who died 9 p.m. Jan. 28, 2013, at his home. He has several family members in the area.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City. Gary Haynes will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
He was born Nov. 10, 1961, in Garden City, Mich., son of Jo (Beard) Morton of Murray and the late Allen Russell Morton. He had been employed as a pipe fitter in the petroleum construction industry in Houston.
He is also survived by two sons, Allen Morton and Caleb Morton, both of Murray; three sisters, Sharon Owens of Puryear, Debbie Anderson of Zavalla, Texas, and Libby Morton of League City, Texas; his brother, Steve Morton of Buchanan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eric Alan Morton; and his sister, Monica Darlene Morton.
