MAKING THE GRADE — Several elementary students from Gleason School were recently recognized as Citizens of the Six Weeks in three categories: High Achiever Award, Character Counts Award and BUG (Bringing Up Grades) Award. They were selected by their teachers for their accomplishments during the third six weeks grading period and winners were announced at an assembly led by principal Trish Price. Among those honored with BUG Awards for bringing up their grades were (from left, front row) students Hayden Poore, Bryce Akers, Katie Sanders, Ava Sawyers, Jacob Inman and Brooklyn McDowell, (back row) Woodmen of the World representative Wendell Verdell, students Jamel Stevenson, Porter Reed, Cheyenne Lamb, Dexter Johnson and Kylan Borneman, Ms. Price and student Olivia Walker. Citizens of the Six Weeks honorees each received a certificate and an American flag donated by Woodmen of the World. Published in The WCP 1.29.13
