Dresden Duplicate Bridge

Dresden Duplicate Bridge Club had two very important games this last past week. These games were called StaC games. StaC stands for Sectional Tournaments at the Club.
On this day a player with his or her partner had the opportunity to win silverpoints. Silver points are necessary to have in order to become a life master at bridge.
In this particular time, our players, go to a tournament out of town, like Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, St. Louis, etc., to attend a silver point event.
But on this evening, the club met and had 3-1/2 tables in play.
Kathy Chandler and JoAnn Campbell were hostesses and they served a vanilla pound cake and a supreme pound cake, also chip, nuts and candy were available.
Winners were first place, Becky Bennett and Linda Jennings, winning over 4 silver points; second place, John and Lois Harbour making over two silver points and Sarah Pentecost and Alma Ford making enough silver points to make Sarah Ann a life master.
Wednesday winners were first place, Carolyn Rogers, Ruthie Jenkins of Paris; second place, Sarah Pentecost and Betty Amberg; and third place, Jackye Hohman and Carol Ehlers. Published in The WCP 1.29.13
