CHARACTER COUNTS — Gleason School recently honored several elementary students with Character Counts Awards as part of its Citizens of the Six Weeks from three categories. Among those recognized were (from left, front row) students Andrew Harrison, Owen Taylor, Paige Smith, Kaylee Tucker, Austin Griffin and Gavin Hicks, (back row) principal Trish Price, students Lance Montgomery, Brandon Moore, Jacob Knight, Annah Klaire Burroughs, Marissa Laws and Libby Smith and Woodmen of the World representative Wendell Verdell. They were selected by their teachers for their accomplishments during the third six weeks grading period and winners were announced at an assembly led by the principal. Each received a certificate and an American flag donated by Woodmen of the World. The Character Counts program at Gleason School is funded by the Bank of Gleason, Woodmen of the World, the City of Gleason, the Gleason Gazelles and the Gleason Rotary Club.  Published in The WCP 1.29.13
