AIMING HIGH — Several recipients of High Achiever Awards were recently recognized at Gleason School. The honorees included (from left, front row) students Dalton Wade, Jada McMillin, Paris Smith, Addyson Black, Kaden Dial and Carrington Lifsey, (back row) principal Trish Price, students Sophie Wilson, Elijah Young, Cayden Hughes, Joseph Witherspoon, Martha Nichols, and Alexis Cooper and Woodmen of the World representative Wendell Verdell. The school honored several elementary students as Citizens of the Six Weeks in three different categories. They were selected by their teachers for their accomplishments during the third six weeks grading period and winners were announced at an assembly led by the principal. Citizens of the Six Weeks each received a certificate and an American flag donated by Woodmen of the World. Published in The WCP 1.29.13
