Double Vision now open in UC

Downtown Union City has a new bar and grill — Double Vision Bar & Grill.
Donna Calhoun is the owner and manager of Double Vision, which is located at 204 South First St. in the location of the former Bill Cody’s.
The business opened under the new owner in December 2012 and is open  9 a.m.-3 a.m. all week.
There is a happy hour from 4-6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 2-4 p.m. on Saturdays.
The staff of six at Double Vision offers food and beer service for customers, with steak dinners served on Friday and Saturday nights and daily lunch specials through the week.
The lunch menu features homemade items and the bar also offers a selection of appetizers. The kitchen at Double Vision is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and the appetizer menu is available from 2 p.m.-3 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Live entertainment is offered on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Karaoke with Rick Morgan is featured on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
The bar has pool tables, dart boards and six big screen televisions.
Ms. Calhoun is in the process of remodeling the bar to create a sports bar atmosphere for her customers.
Coming up Feb. 3 will be a Super Bowl party at Double Vision. The party is scheduled to start at noon and will include free food, giveaways and drawings.
