A benefit spaghetti lunch will be held Saturday at the Samburg Assembly of God Church for Karen Pride.
She recently underwent open heart surgery, surviving three bypasses, according to an organizer of the benefit. She is unable to work, drive or even ride in the front seat of a car and she cannot do any strenuous exercise for four months as she heals from her surgery.
Her friends and family are putting on the benefit lunch at the church’s activities building. Included in the $6 meal with be spaghetti, slaw, garlic bread, a drink and dessert.
The lunch will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and there will also be an auction of donated items and a dessert auction.
