Sue Robinson Posted: Monday, January 28, 2013 4:00 pm The Messenger, January 28, 2013 Sue M. (Kirby) Robinson, 87, of Hornbeak died Jan. 26, 2013, at her home. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Samburg Assembly of God, with the Revs. Carl Mills and B.J. Cohn officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery near Hornbeak. The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of services. Pallbearers will be Michael Work, Marty Kirby, Jeff Kirby, Lanny Haynes, Steve King, Jeff Stiehr, Freddie Stiehr and Joe Plish. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Thomas Hospital, 4220 Harding Road, Nashville, TN 37205. She was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Samburg, daughter of the late Cloyd and Ruby (Caksackkar) Kirby. She married Thomas Coleman Robinson May 19, 1949. He died Dec. 15, 2004. She was a retired press operator for Bathey Manufacturing Co. in Plymouth, Mich., where she worked for 25 years, and had also been a waitress at Reelfoot Lake restaurants for 35 years. She was a life member of Samburg Assembly of God. She is survived by two daughters, Lucita Stiehr of Tiptonville and Charlotte Plish of Hornbeak; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Matt Schimmelfenning, Melissa and Chris June, Jeff and Tracy Stiehr and Freddie Stiehr, all of Michigan; and eight great-grandchildren.
