2 charged in burglary

Two Lake County men were charged in a Weakley County burglary after a sheriff’s investigator noticed alleged suspicious activity.
Roger Alan Belt, 31, and Robert Shaun Belt, 33, both of Ridgely, were each charged with aggravated burglary, criminal trespassing and theft of property over $1,000, according to a Weakley County Sheriff’s Department news release.
They were arrested by sheriff’s investigator Marty Plunk following a call from a neighbor about suspicious activity Thursday at a residence on Miles Road in Weakley County. Plunk allegedly caught the two men taking items from a residence at 1148 Miles Road, located between Dresden and Martin.
The two suspects will be arraigned in Weakley County General Sessions Court at a later date, sheriff’s investigator Randall McGowan reported.
