Miss Ward to wed Parks on March 9

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Kristen Elizabeth Ward of Troy and Ron Edward Parks of Union City are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Billy and Carol Ward of Troy. She is the granddaughter of Glen and Judy Cantrell of Milan, Bobby and Merilyn Ward of Palmersville and the late John and Betty Carruth of Milan.
She is a 2006 graduate of Obion County Central High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed with Dyersburg City School system as a fifth grade teacher at Dyersburg Intermediate School.
The groom-elect is the son of Larry and Becky Parks of Union City. His grandparents are Eloise Parks of Trenton and the late Raymond Parks and the late Charles and Demetrie Pepper of Union City.
He is a 2005 graduate of Obion County Central High School and is a 2009 graduate of UTM, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business. While at UTM, he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is employed at First Choice Farm and Lawn in Union City.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. March 9 at First United Methodist Church in Hickman, Ky. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
