FCE member wins award

WINS CONTEST — June Bennett of Hornbeak, a member of the Crystal Family and Community Education Club, was recently awarded first place in the State FCE Creative Writing Competition. She entered a poem she wrote entitled “The Artist.” Before winning the state competition, she secured second place at the Regional Creative Writing Contest. Mrs. Bennett also received a monetary award for her efforts.
