Lucille A. Menees Davis, 89, of Union City died 9:40 p.m. Jan. 20, 2013, at the Obion County Nursing Home.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Chip Davis and Rick Burton officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Menees, John Menees, Rick Burton, Chad Rial, Steve Rice, Jeff Burress, Brandon Whitehead and Hunter Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Burress, Robert Myers, Carol Thomas, Charlie Grooms, James Palmer and James Cruce.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the service hour.
The family requests memorials be made to Lake Road Baptist Church.
She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Arthur “Judge” and Ethel (Fowlkes) Johnson of Rives.
She had worked as credit manager at the Doctors Clinic in Union City for 23 years. She was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star and was a former member of the former Credit Women organization.
She is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Tom and Chris Menees of Woodland Mills and Phyllis Menees of Mt. Juliet; two granddaughters and their husbands, Beth and Rick Burton of Union City and Kelley and Chad Rial of Sweetwater; two grandsons and their wives, Bill Menees and Amy Oldham of Madison and John and Mandy Menees of Mt. Juliet; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Burress of Rives.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Menees; her husband, James A. Davis; her former husband, Bill Menees; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Nell Burress and Edna and Frank Whitehead.
