Miss Asbridge to wed Halbrook on March 2 Posted: Wednesday, January 16, 2013 8:00 pm The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Laura Asbridge and Michael Halbrook, both of Memphis, are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Lee and Patti Asbridge of Kenton. She is the granddaughter of Donald and Mary Asbridge of Kenton and Frances Poland and the late Kenneth Poland of Union City. She graduated from Gibson County High School in 2003 and earned a bachelor of science degree in health and human performance with a concentration in exercise science from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2006. She received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2010. She is director and a physical therapist at Kinetix Physical Therapy in South Haven, Miss. The groom-elect is the son of Sandra George of Jacksonville, Ark., and Jerry Halbrook of Mayflower, Ark. He is the grandson of Gwen Bradley and the late Arlis Bradley of Jacksonville and Bob and Nell Pickering of Littleton, Colo. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1999 and earned a bachelor of science degree in criminology from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2003. He received his master of business administration degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis in 2006. He is vice president of business development at MAA in Memphis.
