Dog owner charged Posted: Monday, January 14, 2013 4:00 pm Two charges were levied against a Union City man after his dog allegedly bit a teenage boy. Christopher Alexander, 33, of 1009 Baker St., Union City, was issued citations Saturday morning for charges of harboring a vicious animal and no proof of vaccination, according to a Union City Police Department report. Police spoke with the 15-year-old dog bite victim and his mother at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, where the Union City teen explained he had gone to the Baker Street home looking for a classmate. At the door, he said the classmate’s mother indicated he wasn’t there, at which time Alexander’s pit bull allegedly pushed out of the door and ran at him, also jumping at him. He said he tried to push the dog away and it bit him on the left hand and scratched his forearm, according to the report. The teen apparently was treated and released.
