Mrs. Christine Smith Bradberry, 87, of Martin, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Volunteer Community Hospital of Martin.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at East Side Cemetery in Martin with Rev. Mike Sams and Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements.

Matthew Washburn, James Sullivan, Duane Patterson and Jimmy Hatchel served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Bradberry was born Aug. 18, 1925 in Martin, daughter of the late Jepsy Newton “Jab” and Daisy Lee Gill Smith. She was the widow of Charles Ray Bradberry. She was a graduate of Martin High School, formerly worked at Sears Store and Weakley Farmers Co-op and a member of Martin First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Bradberry of Memphis and Carmen (Larry) Washburn of Martin; three grandchildren, Matthew (Rosie) Washburn, Nathan (Jennifer) Washburn and Sarah (Jason) Sullivan; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Newton Smith; and one sister, Naomi Jackson.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or Gideon’s International.
