For the week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5, the Union City Fire Department had a total of 33 alarms, including 25 medical, four commercial alarms, two structure fires and two motor vehicle accidents. There were 121 alarms in December.
For the year:
The Union City Fire Department ended the year with 1,589 alarms for 2012 — an average of 4.4 alarms per day.
