Ollivene Hawks

Mrs. Ollivene Cashon Hawks, 92, of Dresden, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at the residence of her daughter in Martin.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Elder Randy Walker and Elder Eddie Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Matheny Grove Cemetery in Dresden.

Mrs. Hawks was born Aug. 16, 1920 in Weakley County, daughter of the late Jess and Classie turner Cashon. She was the widow of William Glaston Hawks. She was a seamstress in the garment manufacturing and a member of Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Julia Hawks of Martin; two sons, Larry (Gloria) Hawks of Ripley and Gary (Marie) Hawks of Dresden; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
