The Union City School System has announced the following lunch menus for Jan. 14-18:
Union City High School
Monday, Jan. 14 — Baked chicken nuggets or baked beef fingers with whole wheat roll, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed carrots, fresh apple, canned peaches and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 — Beef chili and grilled cheese with whole grain bread or turkey hot dog and chili with whole grain bun, baked sweet potato, cole slaw, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 — Spaghetti and meat sauce or tuna salad with whole grain breadstick, fresh salad cup, steamed broccoli, fresh grapes, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Jan. 17 — Beef taco or turkey bologna and cheese with whole grain tortilla, fresh taco salad cup, pinto beans, fresh apple, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Jan. 18 — No school; teacher professional development.
Note: UCHS offers fresh salad bar options daily.
UC Middle School

South Fulton Elementary School has announced the following menus for Jan. 14-18:
Breakfast
Monday, Jan. 14 — Whole grain Pop Tarts or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and fresh fruit and low-fat milk or juice.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 — Mini cini’s or whole grain cereal with graham cracker and low-fat milk or juice.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 — Whole grain breakfast pizza or whole grain cereal with whole grain toast and jelly and low-fat milk or juice.
Thursday, Jan. 17 — Chicken with whole grain biscuit or whole grain cereal with wheat cheese toast and low-fat milk or juice.
Friday, Jan. 18 — Whole grain maple pancakes or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and low-fat milk or juice.
Note: Free breakfast is offered daily to every SFES student.
Lunch
Monday, Jan. 14 — Fajita chicken wrap with whole grain tortilla or beef burrito, pinto beans, lettuce and tomato, taco sauce, pear halves and low-fat milk or juice.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 — Hot ham and cheese with whole wheat bun or pork chopette with whole wheat bun, romaine salad, cherry tomatoes, whole kernel corn, mixed fruit and low-fat milk or juice.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 — Grilled cheese sandwich or chicken salad sandwich, vegetable beef soup, carrot sticks, fat-free ranch dressing, pineapple tidbits and low-fat milk or juice.
Thursday, Jan. 17 — Pork barbecue with whole wheat bun or sloppy joe with whole wheat bun, baked beans, oven fries, fresh grapes and low-fat milk or juice.
Friday, Jan. 18 — Barbecue chicken or pork ribette with whole wheat hot dog bun, green beans, spinach salad with tomatoes, fresh banana, whole grain roll and low-fat milk or juice.
