Completed arrangements are being announced for Bill Fussell, 71, of Union City, who died 5:18 p.m. Jan. 6, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City. The Revs. Eddie Mallonee and James Kinsey will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rick Stacks, Larry Armstrong, Butch Fussell, Larry Baker, Johnny Garrett and Mike McClerkin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Leggett and the Corner Bar-B-Q coffee drinkers.
The family will receive friends at the church 5-8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN 38281.
He was born July 27, 1941, in Obion County, son of the late Robert E. and Lucille (McCant) Fussell. He married the former Thelma Wallace March 21, 1964. She survives. They were the owners of Southlane Bowling and had retired as the owners of Corner Bar-B-Q in August 2012, after 39 years of service. He was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and David Tomlinson of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tracy Fussell of Union City; four grandchildren and the spouse of one, Amberly and Jamie Worrell, Kandace Tomlinson and Elliott Tomlinson, all of Union City, and Chassidy Fussell of Austin, Texas; his step-granddaughter, Megan Garwood of the Netherlands; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Eva Wallace, Christine Fussell and Barbara Gallimore, all of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Fussell and Horace Fussell.
