Recycling forms sent

The 2012 calendar year Tennessee Recycling Report forms for the Obion County Solid Waste Planning Region have recently been mailed out or dropped off to many local businesses, industries, institutions, cooperatives and public groups. Anyone who did not receive a report form and has recycle figures for waste diversion to report is asked to call Mike Cary at 885-8109 or visit his office located at the Recycle Center at 1003B Mount Zion Road in Union City to pick up a form. The form is due back to the Solid Waste office by Feb. 11.
Figures received are submitted to the state each year in a mandatory formal written annual progress report. The report is designed to keep Obion County in reporting compliance and is a planning tool to help meet waste reduction goals set by the State of Tennessee.
