Drug charge levied

Two men from Lake County were each charged with a drug-related offense during a traffic stop early New Year’s Day on South Fifth Street near West Reelfoot Avenue.
Dominic Kimble, 21, of 900 Vaughn Drive, Tiptonville, and Quelo Hogue, 19, of 315 Walnut St., Tiptonville, were each charged with possession of marijuana when they were arrested about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of South Fifth Street, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Police reported a vehicle driven by Kimble was stopped after it almost hit a stop sign, and the arresting officer reported he could smell an odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Kimble was allegedly in possession of a small bag of marijuana and Hogue, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly sitting on a small bag of marijuana.
