Drug-related charges were placed against two men after Union City police received an anonymous tip about marijuana being at a residence.
Bradley Scott Cloar, 20, of 2209 Bel Air Circle, Union City, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. Sunday at 705 West Washington Ave. in Union City and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, according to a Union City Police Department report.
A second suspect, 23-year-old David Tyler Basham of 4334 Stockdale Road, Hornbeak, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
Union City police had responded to 705 West Washington Ave., Apt. 5, to do a “knock and talk” after receiving an anonymous tip of marijuana allegedly being there. An officer reported he could smell marijuana after he arrived and police officers were given consent to search.
Inside the apartment, police allegedly found a total of about 15 grams of marijuana hidden in clothing drawers. Cloar allegedly admitted it belonged to him.
Police also reportedly found some paraphernalia that included a grinder, resulting in the charge against Basham, according to the report.
