Lael SS Class has meeting

Lael Sunday School Class held its regular class meeting and Christmas party at First Baptist Church fellowship hall in Union City recently.
A class member, Arlene Keeling, treated class members to a luncheon at Sassafraz restaurant. Guests chose entrees from the menu and, for dessert, enjoyed cheesecake with strawberries.
The class project for the month was to give to the Lottie Moon offering in honor of the class teacher, Joyce Stephens.
Members also played Dirty Santa.
Those attending were Dot Capps, Pat Cunningham, Jean Eaker, Edna McIntosh, Louise Petty, Lena Mai Pruitt, Dorothy Rasberry, Mrs. Stephens, Trudie Thornton, Verna Turner, Frances Watts, Jessie White, Faye Passmore, Mrs. Keeling and a guest, Jenny Guess, Mrs. Keeling’s granddaughter.
The next meeting will be Jan. 8, with Ms. Capps as hostess.
