The Union City School System has announced the following lunch menus for Jan. 2-4:
Union City High School
Wednesday, Jan. 2 — Beef vegetable soup and grilled cheese or tuna salad with whole grain bread, turnip greens, green beans, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Jan. 3 — Sweet and sour pork with brown rice with whole grain breadstick or pimento cheese with whole grain bread, oriental mixed vegetables, whole kernel corn, fresh pear, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Jan. 4 — Hot ham and cheese or chicken patty with whole grain bun, baked beans, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh orange, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Union City Middle School
Wednesday, Jan. 2 — Beef vegetable soup and grilled cheese or tuna salad with whole grain bread, turnip greens, green beans, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Jan. 3 — Sweet and sour pork with brown rice with whole grain breadstick or pimento cheese with whole grain bread, oriental mixed vegetables, whole kernel corn, fresh pear, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Jan. 4 — Hot ham and cheese or chicken patty with whole grain bun, baked beans, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh orange, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Note: UCHS and UCMS offer fresh salad bar options daily.
Union City Elementary
Wednesday, Jan. 2 — Beef vegetable soup and grilled cheese or tuna salad with whole grain goldfish bread, turnip greens, green beans, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Jan. 3 — Crispito or pimento cheese with whole grain bread, steamed broccoli, whole kernel corn, fresh pear, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Jan. 4 — Hot ham and cheese or chicken patty with whole grain bun, baked beans, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh orange, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
