Dog complaint made

A Union City woman has been cited into city court after her dog allegedly tried to attack a woman.
According to the report filed at the Union City Police Department, an unnamed woman who lives in the Union City Housing Authority apartments was walking her dog on the sidewalk along Miles Avenue when a dog owned by Patsy Lou Hare, 37, of 1508 Matthews St., Union City, tried to attack her.
A complainant told police the unidentified woman stepped back and fell down, but did get away from the dog. The complainant then took the lady and her dog home.
The report states Union City police have had problems with this dog before.
Ms. Hare was called to the scene, where she picked up her dog. She was issued citations for leash law violation and harboring a vicious animal.
Her court date is Jan. 14, 2013.
