Mr. Donald F. “Don” Williamson, 92, of Union City died 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted noon Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church in Union City. Deacon Tom McWilliams will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Kelley Baker, James Sullivan, Ralph Sullivan, Joe Walicki, Jack Walicki and David Miesner. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 2012 East Reelfoot Ave., Union City, TN 38261.
Mr. Williamson was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Addison, Mich., son of the late Dorph and Effie (Shaw) Williamson. He married Jeanette (Kelly) Williamson on Aug. 24, 1946. She survives.
Mr. Williamson was a B-24 bomber pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Union City and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Jackson, Mich., after 34 years of service.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Jim Baker of Union City; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kelley and Heather Baker of Troy and Lisa and James Sullivan of Erin; and five great-grandchildren, Christoper Baker and McKenzie Baker, both of Troy, and Jackson Sullivan, Owen Sullivan and Hensley Duke Sullivan, all of Erin.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Williamson and Pamella Williamson; two sisters; and six brothers.
