The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Caitlin Elizabeth Simpson and Matthew Brann Tucker, both of Martin, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mark and Julie Simpson of Martin. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Pat Simpson of Bowling Green, Ky., Betty Wallace of Martin and the late Goy Wallace.
Miss Simpson is a 2008 graduate of Westview High School. She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she received a bachelor of science degree in psychology.
While at  UTM, she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi.
She is employed at HealthSouth Cane Creek Rehabilitation Hospital in Martin. She is also the assistant cheerleading coach at Martin Middle School. She is pursuing her master’s degree in speech pathology through Western Kentucky University.
The groom-elect is the son of Lisa Tucker of Martin and the late Brann Tucker. His grandparents are Jerry and Fran Morehead of Martin, Linda Tucker of Huntsville, Ala. and the late Lloyd Tucker.
Tucker is a 2008 graduate of Westview.
He is employed by the Weakley County Electric System.
The couple will exchange vows 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Martin.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
