Completed arrangements are being announced for Larry Haney, 84, of South Fulton, who died Dec. 19, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services were set for 1 p.m. today at Cayce (Ky.) Baptist Church, with Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton in charge of arrangements. Burial was to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
He was a retired maintenance worker for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a faithful member of Cayce Baptist Church and United Steel Workers. He was a beloved father who had lived most of his life in the Cayce community.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Edna Rose (DeHart) Haney, to whom he was married April 28, 1951; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Steve Pryor of Springfield; his son, Larry Gene Haney of South Fulton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Kristopher Chad and Angela Pryor and Justin Lee and Chavonne Pryor, all of Pleasant View, and Jennifer Lauren and Thomas Moore of Almo Ky.; eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Lawrence Alvin Haney of South Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Margaret (Everett) Haney; three sisters, Martha Brunswick, Meta Griffith and Mary Haney; and his brother, Charles Mack Haney.
