James Edward Kelly, 69, of Union City died 12:40 p.m. Dec. 19, 2012, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery near Ridgely.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Kelly, Jonathan Kelly, Chris McCullough, Craig McCullough, Austin McCullough and Mike McKenzie.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
He was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Lexington, son of the late Robert Houston Kelly and the late Ella (Moody) Kelly Futrell. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Troy First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Johnson) Kelly of Hickman, Ky.; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kisha Kelly of Troy; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David McCullough of Troy; four stepchildren; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; his brother; and his sister.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
