On Wednesday, Robert Baker opened the service with our singing, “I’ll Fly Away.” Bro. Kieth read from Ecclesiastes 8:1. It was our monthly business meeting. We had time to read from 1 Timothy 5:19-6:8. Our children had a Christmas Craft Night.

On this Lord’s Day, our Sunday school lesson was, “Yahweh Our Righteousness,” from Jeremiah 23:5-6, Romans 3:1-26 and 10:1-13. This lesson stated that everything the sovereign and powerful God does is right. Righteousness defines God. He is righteousness and He is the source of righteousness.

We sang “Happy Birthday” to Abby Morgan. Other songs were, “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night” and What Child Is This.” Grace Laws played, “Silver Bells” and Sam Laws played, “The First Noel.” They did a good job. While our advent candles were lit, Larry Moubray read Matthew 1:21, Karon Moubray read Luke 1:26-28 and Dana Stafford read Luke 2:10-14. Our choir sang, “Rejoice Medley.”

Bro. Kieth’s text was from Luke 1:6-7, John 1:6-8, Mark 1:1-8, Matthew 1:20-23 and Isaiah 7:14.

That evening, we sang, “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Away in a Manger” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain.” We had a guest, Lauren Simmons, who sang, “Mary, Did You Know” with her guitar.  Robert and Julie sang, “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem.” Robert and Adrianna Pope sang, “Christmas Shoes.” Scripture reading was from Psalms 150. We were glad to have our visitors today.
