Bro. Bobby Peal opened our service by singing “Are You Washed In The Blood?”

Edna Johle taught from 1 Timothy 4:16 take heed unto thyself, and onto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

We sang “Happy Anniversary” to Della Freeman and Martha Kotarba. Mason Petty helped lead “Glory Glory” and “He’s A Big God.” Mary led “Come Thou Almighty King” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain.” Prayer requests were made and prayed over.  Patsy Baker sang “Amazing Grace.”

Bro. Bobby turned to Proverbs 25:25 and titled his message “Good News.” We serve a God who is a living Savior. We are in a time of celebration to worship a baby born in a lowly stable, who grew up to be King of Kings, but was crucified for our salvation, which is the most precious gift God could give, His only son.

Mary led “Away In A Manger,” “Joy To The World” and “I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day.” Patsy Baker sang “Love Lifted Me.” Mary sang “God Is So Good.” Harvey Dildine and Bro. Bobby harmonized to “Take It To the Lord In Prayer.” Edna Johle sang “God Of the Mountain.”

Bro. Bobby went to Philippians 3:8. We will never reach perfection outside of heaven.  Your life speaks loudly to the outside world, therefore, always be mindful of living a life of Christ at all times, not only when among others. We have the privilege to draw as close to the Lord as we want, it is our choice. Truth gives you freedom.

We again joined hands for our prayer service at the altar.

Our Christmas program will be Sunday at 5 p.m. with refreshments following.

Merry Christmas to all and a blessed New Year.
