Union City police are investigating an alleged robbery attempt involving a pizza delivery driver.
The incident occurred Friday night when Pizza Hut employee Travis Freeman delivered a pizza to an apartment in the 700 block of South Sunswept Drive, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Freeman told police he made the delivery and put the customer’s money in his pocket. He said there were about 10 black men standing in the hall, and he alleged an unknown black man reached into his pocket and told him to give him the money.
According to the report, Freeman said he slapped the man’s hand away, walked to his vehicle and left. No money was taken from him.
