Completed arrangements are being announced for Dennis Neil Lightner, 37, of Union City, who died 11:23 p.m. Dec. 10, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jacksonville Free Will Baptist Church in South Fulton, with the Revs. James Watford and Carl Minor officiating. Burial will follow in Fulton’s Greenlea Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
He was born Feb. 6, 1975, in South Fulton, son of Felicia (Hicks) Lightner and Lowell Thomas Lightner Jr. of South Fulton, and was the husband of Misty Dawn (Baker) Lightner, who survives.
He was a member of Jacksonville Free Will Baptist Church and was a student at Dyersburg State Community College.
He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City in the final finish and tire assembly department. He was a member of Tennessee Rollerz, serving as secretary, and had also helped coach in the Junior Tornado Football League in Union City from 2008-11.
He is also survived by two daughters, Brooklyn Cobb and Kaylee Perkins, both of Union City; his son, Kaleb Perkins of Union City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leah and Michael Webb of Newbern and Pamela and Jeremy Hickman of South Fulton; and two brothers and his sister-in-law, Desmond Coble of Union City and Demetrice and Margaret Patterson of Ypsilanti, Mich.
