West Union Baptist Church news Posted: Wednesday, December 12, 2012 8:51 pm On Wednesday night, we watched the DVR titled “Be His Heart/His Hands/His Voice.” This included information on the International Missions Week of Prayer. On Saturday afternoon, Bro. Larry and Janice Clark, Jake Rogers, Gary Jenkins and Linda Tucker went to the Weakley County Nursing Home and sang Christmas songs with the residents. On Sunday morning, Jake Rogers lit the Prophecy Candle, Robert and Daisy Doxtader lit the Bethlehem Candle, Gary and Phyllis Jenkins lit the Shepherd Candle. Bro. Larry Clark read Luke 2:1-20 as the text for the message titled “What Is Christmas?” On Sunday night, he read I Corinthians 11:26 for the message titled “Why Did Jesus Have To Die.” This was followed by several other scriptures before we observed the Lord’s Supper.
