Dresden Duplicate Bridge Posted: Wednesday, December 12, 2012 12:00 am What a treat for us we had today when we had a full four tables of bridge players attend our regular Wednesday afternoon game. Our precious and faithful player Alma Ford was unable to play. Sickness comes over and prevents a regular attendance. Get well, Alma, and be well for our two Christmas parties — one at Kountry Corner and Wednesday at Richie and Reggie’s. Wednesday, a nibbling table, full of an assortment of cheeses with crackers and Ritz and a fresh pound cake, was served. Winners were first place, Lois Harbour and Lucy Glover, both of Union City; second place, Roberta Meyer and Gene Fulks, both of Paris; and third place, John Harbour and Sharon Fields, both of Paris. It is so great to have John Harbour to come each Wednesday and do our scores on the computer. The computer never makes a mistake unless we, the operators, put in thefalse information. John and Lois Harbour are going to be gone for a month. They are leaving on Dec. 16 to visit a brother in Texas and their son Eric Harbour in California. Published in The WCP 12.11.12 |
