Freeman Chapel News Posted: Friday, December 7, 2012 9:05 pm Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday. Mike and I had 18 at our house. We had plenty of food and good fellowship. We don’t have a very big house, so we were eating all over the house, but enjoying it. My son, Doug from Mississippi, surprised us with a visit. Bro. Mike preached near Covington a couple of Sundays ago. I enjoyed the trip with him. Last Sunday, Bro. Steve Blake preached at Macks Grove near Palmersville. Our preacher, Suzie Riley, preached a good sermon Sunday. The first Sunday she was in the pulpit after her surgery. Glad to see Glenda Connell at church. She hasn’t been to church in sometime due to back problems. Hope she continues to get better. Mike and I enjoyed the soup supper recently at UT before Thanksgiving. Marty Freeman had a Thanksgiving visit with his parents, Jimmy and Lois Freeman. Our sympathy is with Jeanie King in the loss of her mother, Mrs. Brock. Get well prayers are with Mr. Byrd of Sharon, who has fallen and broken his hip. Thought of the week: “Today’s prices often indicate that the best time to buy something was last year.” None
