Artie Mae (Murray) Burpo, 85, of Hornbeak died at the Obion County Nursing Home Dec. 6, 2012, at 4:10 p.m.
Services will be at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Sean Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Elbridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
She was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Obion County, daughter of the late Bernie and Alvada Murray. She was the widow of John L. Burpo.
She had worked for the former Wrangler factory in Newbern and also at the former Troy Manufacturing.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Brackins of Sevierville; three sons and her daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Burpo of Obion, Pete Burpo of Hornbeak and Gene Burpo of Lane’s Ferry; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jack Murray of McKenzie.
She was also preceded in death by her son, John Earl Burpo; her brother; and three sisters.
