Bro. Bobby Peal opened our service by singing “Heavens Jubilee.”

Edna Johle taught from 1 Timothy 1:14, which says the grace of our Lord, was exceeding abundant with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

Bro. Bobby reminded the congregation that Dec. 16 is trade-a-card day for exchanging Christmas cards within the church. Also put on your calendar that our Christmas program will be at our 5 p.m. service on Dec. 23 with refreshments after the program.

Prayer requests were made and prayed over.  Patsy Baker sang Bless “The Lord O My Soul” with Melba Carson, and “He’s In the Midst.” Ashlyn and Hunter Hagye helped lead “I’m Blessed” and “I Will Enter His Gates.” Mary led “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “Silent Night.”

Bro. Bobby’s message was titled “Take Time” from James 4:13. From the time of your birth to the grave, no one ever knows how much time they have on earth. Time is precious and it is your choice how you use the time. When you know you are in God’s will and a problem arises, take the next step in faith and God will reward your faithfulness.

Bro. Bobby opened our evening service by singing “Redeemed.” Mary led “Away In A Manger,” “The First Noel” and “Joy To the World.” Edna Johle sang “I’m Holding A Clear Title.” Bro. Bobby sang a song he wrote called “Christmas.” Mary sang “When He Was On the Cross.” Bro. Lainhart sang “O Say But I’m Glad.”

Bro. Bobby then turned to 1 John 5:14-15. There are a lot of people today who are looking for mistakes Christians make. They are happy if we fail to have a prayer answered, but if we are steadfast in our faith and continue to pray, we know we shall have an answer for God keeps his promises. God has a purpose for you.

We prayed for the needs in a circle of love. Afterwards, we stayed and put up the Christmas tree and the other decorations.
