Obion County Public Library’s annual Christmas Open House will be held Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Union City Elementary School’s choral groups, Voices of UCES and Chorus Kids, will perform, along with Obion County Children’s Chorus from Obion County schools. This is also a chance for the library to showcase its Parade of Trees, featuring decorated Christmas trees from local businesses and community groups.
The event is free, and refreshments will be provided by OCPL Friends of the Library.
The library’s Kids Craft time has been changed to Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the library. There is a $2 supply fee for children in kindergarten through sixth grade to participate in the activity, which will focus on making a homemade gift for a teacher, relative or friend.
The program is presented in partnership with the Obion County Extension Agency’s 4-H Club.
Space is limited and participants are asked to sign up in advance, a spokesman said.
