McConihay joins Frontier

Experienced safety professional Gary McConihay is the new environmental, health and safety manager for the Southeast operations of Frontier Communications, Lynne Monaco, director of environment, safety and security, announced today.
Based in Charleston, McConihay is responsible for implementing Frontier’s safety program in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia.
In addition, he will develop safety programs for specific locations.
“Frontier emphasizes employee safety each and every day, and Gary’s extensive experience will be a great benefit to our organization and employees,” Monaco said. “He is experienced in implementing safety principles and knows the importance of communicating those standards to all of our employees.”
McConihay worked most recently as a director and safety team leader for K-o-S Consulting in Ashland, Ky. Before that he was corporate safety director for more than 16 years at North American Industrial Services, based at the company’s headquarters in New York.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in occupational safety and health from Marshall University.
