Louie T. Jobe Sr. of Greenfield, formerly of Jackson, passed quietly at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Humboldt Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 after a long illness.

Graveside services were held at noon, Wednesday at Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Gary Snuffin officiating.

Mr. Jobe was a World War II veteran and retired from the insurance business and Murray Guard. He was the widower of Mrs. Betty Jobe. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Oakville Lodge 599 F&AM.

He is survived by his children, Louie Jr., Douglas, Gregory and Cheryl; daughters-in-law, Angela, Susan and Linda; grandchildren, John, Eric, Seth, Kelly, Bryan, Alisoon and Taylor.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Rice; and twin grandsons, Ian and Evan Jobe.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Wounded Warriors Project or The West Tennessee Area Council Boys Scouts of America in his name.

His love, strength and humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
