Betty Malray Posted: Tuesday, December 4, 2012 4:00 pm Betty Sue Malray, 95, of South Fulton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with Bill Milliken and Elder Maley Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Boaz Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday until the funeral hour. She was born on Dec. 4, 1916 in Weakley County, daughter of the late James Edgar and Lula Bell Clement Lamb. She was the widow of James Gaylon Malray. She was a member of the Sandy Branch Primitive Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past member of the former Chestnut Glade Homemakers Club. She was a lifelong resident of this area including the Chestnut Glade and the Walnut Grove communities. She is survived by a son Eddie Malray of South Fulton; three daughters Betty Milliken of Fulton, Ky., Susie Hatler and Katie Gray, both of South Fulton; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Anna Thompson Lamb; one son Nathan Malray; and three brothers. Memorials may be made to the Boaz Chapel Cemetery, c/o Charles Moon, 776 ST.
