Northwest Tennessee Disaster Services is offering Merry Mail as a service to military families this holiday season. Members of the U.S. armed forces and their families can send free online military-themed Christmas cards by visiting this address: http://www.togetherforall.org/merrymail/index.php.
NTDS is also accepting applications for 2012 Christmas assistance program that assists Santa in distributing toys to needy children throughout the area. A limited number of applications are available at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City. Those interested may also go online to www.togetherforall.org.
The deadline to apply is Dec. 12.
